EPISODE 20:
ETHAN TRIPP, FERMENTERY FORM
Three old friends, who were obsessed with the tradition of Belgian/French farmhouse ales, decided to create some beers inspired by the ones they love. With that Fermentery Form was born. Unlike a normal brewery, Form has their wort (unfermented beer) made for them at other breweries. They then take this wort and transport it back to their location, tucked away off Cecil B. Moore Avenue. There it is fermented, aged, and packaged. All of their beers are made by “mixed fermentation,” meaning they are fermented with various strains of yeast and bacteria. In the end, the stunning finished beers are a “fantasy of the old world,” and don’t fit neatly into styles.
